Stonebridge Print Co. believes technology can be a valuable part of the creative process when used responsibly. As part of our design services, we may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools alongside traditional graphic design software, licensed design resources, stock assets, and original creative work.
How We May Use AI
AI-assisted tools may be used for certain portions of the creative process, including:
- Concept development and brainstorming
- Creating or exploring visual ideas
- Backgrounds, textures, and decorative elements
- Image generation or enhancement
- Removing, replacing, or modifying elements within images
- Developing design variations
- Assisting with other portions of the creative workflow
The use of AI does not necessarily mean that an entire finished design was AI-generated. Designs may incorporate a combination of AI-assisted elements, licensed assets, customer-provided materials, and design work completed by Stonebridge Print Co.
Human Design & Review
Regardless of the tools used during the creative process, Stonebridge Print Co. reviews and prepares final designs for their intended application.
This may include selecting and arranging elements, typography, color selection, composition, sizing, editing, revisions, and preparation for printing or digital use.
Requesting No Generative AI
Customers who do not want generative AI used in their project may request a No Generative AI design before design work begins.
When requested, Stonebridge Print Co. will not intentionally use generative AI to create visual elements for that project. Traditional design software, properly licensed design resources, stock assets, customer-provided materials, and other non-generative tools may still be used.
Requests must be made before design work begins, as projects already in progress may contain AI-assisted elements.
Copyright & Exclusivity
The copyright status of AI-generated or AI-assisted material may vary depending on applicable law and the circumstances in which the material was created.
Stonebridge Print Co. does not guarantee that AI-generated elements are independently eligible for copyright protection or that an AI-generated element is exclusive to a particular customer.
Unless specifically agreed to in writing, customers should not assume that individual stock, licensed, AI-generated, or other third-party elements incorporated into a design are exclusive to their project.
Customer-Provided Content
Customers are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use any logos, photographs, artwork, trademarks, characters, or other materials they provide to Stonebridge Print Co.
Stonebridge Print Co. reserves the right to refuse requests that we reasonably believe may violate another party’s intellectual property rights.
Our Approach
AI is one of many tools that may be used in the Stonebridge Print Co. creative process. Our goal is to use the tools appropriate for each project while providing customers with professionally prepared designs that meet their needs.
