Great artwork leads to great prints. At Stonebridge Print Co., we want your finished apparel to look its absolute best. Following these guidelines will help ensure the highest quality results and reduce production delays.
If you’re unsure whether your artwork is print-ready, don’t worry—we’re happy to review it and help you determine the best path forward.
Accepted File Formats
For the best print quality, we recommend submitting one of the following file types:
Preferred Formats
- PNG (Transparent Background)
- SVG
- AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- EPS
Accepted Formats
- JPG / JPEG
- PSD
- TIFF
Higher-quality files produce better printing results.
Recommended Resolution
Raster images (PNG, JPG, etc.) should be:
- Minimum 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch)
- Full size for the intended print area
- Clear and sharp without visible pixelation
Low-resolution images often become blurry when enlarged and may not produce acceptable results.
Transparent Backgrounds
For most apparel designs, artwork should have a transparent background.
This allows your design to blend naturally with the garment instead of printing a solid white box behind the image.
Vector Artwork
Whenever possible, vector artwork is preferred.
Vector files can be resized without losing quality, making them ideal for:
- Company logos
- Business branding
- Simple illustrations
- Text-based designs
Color Considerations
Colors displayed on computer monitors, tablets, and mobile devices may appear different when printed.
While we strive to reproduce colors as accurately as possible, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed unless specifically requested and agreed upon in advance.
Copyright & Trademarks
Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to reproduce any artwork they submit.
By submitting artwork, you confirm that you:
- Own the artwork, or
- Have permission to reproduce it.
Stonebridge Print Co. reserves the right to refuse any order that appears to violate copyright, trademark, licensing, or other intellectual property rights.
Artwork Review
Every order includes a basic artwork review before production.
We will check for common issues such as:
- Low image quality
- Pixelation
- Missing fonts
- Incorrect sizing
- Transparency problems
- Obvious printing concerns
If we identify an issue, we’ll contact you before production begins whenever possible.
Artwork Adjustments
Minor adjustments are often included at no additional charge.
Examples may include:
- Resizing artwork
- Basic cleanup
- Centering a design
- Removing a simple background
- Minor color adjustments
More extensive design work, logo recreation, vector conversion, or custom graphic design may require an additional design fee. If applicable, you’ll be notified and provided with a quote before any work begins.
Artwork Proofs
Whenever appropriate, a digital proof will be provided before production.
Please review your proof carefully, paying close attention to:
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Colors
- Design placement
- Garment selection
- Print size
- Quantities
Production will begin only after your approval has been received.
Print Size Guidelines
Actual print sizes may vary depending on the garment style and size ordered.
Stonebridge Print Co. will recommend the most appropriate print size to ensure your design looks balanced and professional across your selected apparel.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for reviewing all proofs carefully before approving production.
Stonebridge Print Co. is not responsible for errors that appear on an approved proof, including:
- Misspelled words
- Incorrect dates
- Incorrect phone numbers
- Incorrect website addresses
- Customer-supplied artwork errors
